Collin Anderson

Collin Anderson is a Washington D.C.-based researcher focused on documenting network degradation, electronic surveillance and Internet censorship across the world. This work has primarily focused on themes of content restrictions and the development of infrastructure in Iran. He has also been involved in identifying the international flow of surveillance equipment and exploring alternative means of communications that bypass normal channels of state-control. This interest in the free flow of information has led to advocacy regarding availability and legality of online communications services to the public under sanctions restrictions, as well as the ramifications of export regulations to democratization movements.
