A Research Officer at Privacy International, a London-based charity protecting the right to
privacy across the world. He focuses on the market in surveillance, monitoring and
censorship equipment used by governments across the world to suppress dissent, spy on
journalists, limit internet freedom and commit human rights abuses. He also undertakes
investigative research of surveillance companies and maps the range of surveillance
technology used by governments across the world. Previously worked as a Researcher at
the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. He holds an MA (Hons) in Politics
from the University of Glasgow.
